Who says the Outer Banks cannot be fun in early November! Ok, the weather was brisk most days but the house was fantastic, great location to the area’s points of interest, easy walk to the beach and more room than the 3 of us (+ dog) could possibly use. Check in/out was super easy and our host was very responsive with communication. The updated master bedroom commands a fabulous view of the ocean and has a wonderful ensuite bath. The main floor has 3 rooms, one with its own bathroom too, so again, more space than we needed. The house is practical and functional, not fancy, and is a great ‘beach’ home for any vacation. We got a lot of use out of the hot tub and the games room and when we felt like watching tv, there was pretty much 1 in every room… Even with the fall temps, we had a ton to do, with Jockey Ridge and the Wright Brothers a few miles down the road, the Aquarium and Lost Colony a short drive to Roanoke Island, and walking the boardwalk in Duck to name a few. There are a ton of local eating options minutes away too and we ate our fill of steamed crabs and shrimp! We hope to be back late next summer, to enjoy some warmer weather and more OBX charm.
