My mom and I had less than 24 hours to spend in the outer banks (it was just a pit stop on our road trip from FL to NY) and we were so happy to stay at the Honu Hut! It was impressively clean, just as the pictures looked, and it was decorated to make us feel like we had our own mini beach house. Every detail was thought of in this room, from a nice, personal welcome better on our bed, the wifi network and password framed on the night stand, extra beach towels and sun screen incase we forgot them, a mini fridge, microwave, even a keurig! There was a small binder with personal recommendations of their favorite restaurants and cafes that are both in walking, biking, or short driving distance, with a few fun brochures thrown in. And I can’t forget to mention the incredibly SOFT and cozy , cloud-like bedding! Oh my goodness. And the fact that we could relax and watch NETFLIX at the end of the night was just the icing on the cake. The next day after spending a few hours at the beach, Chelsey allowed us to use their equally adorable and perfectly thought out outdoor shower area to rinse off before we got in the car for the rest of our road trip even though we already technically checked out. This was by far the best choice we could have made as far as choosing where to stay in the outer banks! I hope to return to the Honu Hut one day!
