Perfect Beach Getaway!
We had an amazing stay at Hook, Wine & Sinker in Kitty Hawk. The home was spotless, well-maintained, and just a short 5-minute walk to the beautiful OBX beach — perfect for morning strolls and sunset views. The host went above and beyond by welcoming us with a complimentary bottle of wine, and even offered additional bottles in exchange for donations to a local cause, which was a thoughtful and generous touch. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing and meaningful beach vacation!

This was our first time staying in Kitty Hawk
This was our first time staying in Kitty Hawk! This house was great. It was clean, accessible to the beach via a short walk, and lots of things to do around the house-pool, hot tub and games. I would definitely recommend this home, and we will be booking again. Brittany was super responsive, and very helpful with our stay.
We are a family of 3 with a dog
We are a family of 3 with a dog. The house was really comfortable, and we felt right at home. It was great to relax in the hot tub and play pool in the game room. The beach was a very short walk from the house and being able to see the ocean from the deck was a constant reminder of where we were and what we were there for. The host was very responsive and friendly. She was even accommodating when we decided to extend our stay by a night. In all the house was perfect for our vacation. We have already talked about booking it again next year.

Hook, Wine and Sinker is hands-down one of the best Airbnb stays we’ve ever had! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the charm, cleanliness, and thoughtful touches throughout the home. The location is absolutely unbeatable—just a short stroll to the beach with stunning views and the peaceful vibes you’d expect from the Outer Banks.
The house itself is beautifully decorated with coastal flair, and every room feels welcoming and cozy. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, and the open layout made it perfect for hanging out with friends and family. We especially loved the spacious deck—ideal for sipping wine in the evenings and watching the sunset.
The hosts clearly care about their guests. They provided a detailed welcome guide, local recommendations, and even a few surprise treats that made us feel right at home. Every little detail was spot-on.
We can't wait to get back!

House was just as described and was one of the cleanest rentals we have ever had the privilege to visit. It had a nice view of the ocean considering it wasn't oceanfront and had easy access to the beach within short walking distance. Hosts were very easy to communicate with and were very informative. We would definitely rent again. We highly recommend this house for a wonderful stay in the OBX !!!

Hook Wine and Sinker was an excellent last minute getaway for Fall break. The cottage was beautifully decorated and very clean. Everything was as advertised. We had no issues checking in and the amenities were just what we needed.

We had such an amazing time
We had such an amazing time! We felt right at home and you can’t beat the proximity to the beach with a pretty view from the front porch. The house was clean, super cute and had everything we needed. The hot tub was spotless and worked perfectly and theres plenty of outdoor seating. The wine donation/charity system is so sweet and thoughtful. Would definitely return! I’d recommend leaving your pups at home or bring a pair of thick booties because you can’t escape the spurs but that’s pretty much anywhere in Kitty Hawk. Overall great place and great hosts.

Good value! I’d recommend bringing your own dishwasher pods/detergent. Had to put the clean sheets on the beds ourselves and unfortunately had change plans to leave a day early but it was too close to our reservation for the host to let us shorten our stay.

This was a fantastic place to stay if you’re looking for a place in the OBX that is peaceful and near the beach. Great for a bunch of young adults vacationing with their mother.
Beach is within 5 minute walk, and it’s incredibly easy to get on. But the hot tub was one of our favorite amenities. Great to watch the sun set while relaxing in it. Game room was really fun too.
The location is favorable if you’re looking to both be close to the beach and near several beach-town activities. Mini golf, the flight museum, and an underrated escape room are within 10 minutes of driving.
We are looking forward to renting this place again next year!

This location was very close and walk-able to the beach. The house was very comfortable and cozy for 5 of us to stay in. The kitchen was well stocked and other amenities were available. There is a small game room in the lower floor that was fun to have. The owner was very receptive and quick responding to our questions. We would stay here again in the future.

This is the 2nd time I’ve stayed here, and it was better than I remember! The house was in pristine condition and there have been some upgrades since I last stayed (the retractable doggie gates on the stairs are GREAT)! I usually have anxiety when I stay in new places, but both times I’ve stayed, I felt right at home. The home is VERY clean and comfortable! You can tell the owners kept renters in mind when creating this home - each bedroom has its own tv, fan, dresser, etc. The porch wraps on 2 sides of the house so lots of room to gather on a beautiful evening. You can see the ocean from the porch and it’s 3 minute walk to the beach. This will be the only house I ever rent when visit Kitty Hawk!

Hook, Wine, and Sinker is a lovely home in a perfect location. We appreciated how it was set back from the road and was so close to a public beach access. We enjoyed winding down each night by playing pool and classic video games in the game room. Everyone in our family of five gives it two thumbs up!

The house is exactly as pictured and is very clean. Beds are comfortable and linens are soft, kitchen is stocked with new utensils and appliances and the home is a brief walk to the public access. Beaches in the area are clean and beautiful; we had a great stay.

Our small family of three felt very comfortable in this house. We used the deck daily both for early morning coffee and at night to watch the sunsets. The beach access was so close we were able to walk to and from the beach easily. We grilled two nights and hung out on the Adirondack chairs, which were very comfortable. The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking breakfast everyday. The location was perfect for all our favorite spots they we frequent while visiting OBX. Brittany is a wonderful host, quick response to any message and the property is perfect the view is beautiful and peaceful. The game room is so much fun. We hope to stay at the property again in the future.

This is a cute and cozy beach house with many nice touches. The host thought of everything you would need! It’s in a great location with an ocean view, steps from the beach access and near many restaurants and stores. It’s very clean, some soaps and paper products were provided. The beds are very comfortable (just watch out for the wood footboard, it will leave a bruise!). I loved the colors and beach decor. Since the weather wasn’t ideal, we did a lot of relaxing and just enjoyed our time at the house. The host was wonderful to communicate with. I definitely recommend this house as a great place to stay in the Outer Banks!

Brittany's place is a beautiful little cottage right on the beach road, easy walking distance to the public beach access and a couple good restaurants (Art's Place and Ocean Boulevard). The home truly felt like a home versus a rental property and was stocked with everything we needed. The only thing we wished we had brought is our own pillows...the beds are very comfortable, and the pillows are soft but perhaps we are "particular" about our pillows because they were rather small. Would absolutely come again!

The only negative was sand spurs so we had to be careful when walking our dog but this is always a hazard when going to the beach. We would definitely go back.

Really enjoyed our stay at this small quaint local over the holiday. The rooms were very nice and were what we needed. The down stairs is not attached or accessible from upstairs internally but you can easily enjoy hours on the pool table in the bottom section of the house. We would go back to this property tomorrow it we had the time off. Great property.

The place was great! Great location to the beach access and a few restaurants. House was great, homey and fun. The only trouble we had was that the yard had lots of sand burrs and cactus spines so our dog could not walk in the grass.

if we were to suggest anything, it would be the towels! loved having them in the sanitary wrapping, just wished they were a little nicer quality and a few more towels, to use on the floor after the shower! not a big deal.... it was awesome!

Of note, the entertainment room is downstairs and is not accessible from the inside. Not an issue though and could be listed somewhere in the description that I missed.
