The house was so comfortable
The house was so comfortable! We felt right at home and the kitchen had everything we needed. The location of the house is amazing! RIGHT across from beach access, close to grocery stores and restaraunt’s. We all loved the decor and loved the two sitting areas. The kids enjoyed one while the adults the other. The drive-way allowed for us to pull in and turn around so we didn’t need to back out onto Virginia Dare Road. The drive-way was large enough in the back for our grandson to safely enjoy his bicycle. The detached garage had a washer/dryer, another full-sized fridge/freezer, beach toys and wagon. This house would be perfect for a long stay. Loved it!!

We had a great stay with Brittany! Slight issue on day 1 with the WiFi but Brittany was very responsive and helped us resolve the issue by the morning of day 2. The house was right by the beach, great decor, clean, close by all the amenities and activities for our kids(ages 5,7, & 9). All in all we had a great time and look forward to coming back!

We loved our stay at the Little Pearl! The location is fantastic - directly across from the public beach access and right in the heart of Kill Devil Hills with plenty of shops, restaurants and things to do. The house itself is SO cute and more importantly, it was very clean and comfortable. We appreciated all the beach gear available in the garage (wagon, chairs, umbrellas, buckets, boogie boards) and Brittany was quick to answer any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again!

Awesome beach house
Awesome beach house! Most beautifully and fun decorated home we’ve stayed at and we’ve stayed at dozens across the country! It had everything we needed including washer and dryer. Comfortable beds! Very short walk to beach made it easy to return to beach after quick afternoon storms. Easy first floor access , so no hauling luggage up and down stairs. Conveniently located to all attractions! Wish we could buy this house!

Great location and easy access to the beach! Although it was just the two of us for the week, this home has ample space to utilize for multiple guests and includes a lot of extras. You really just need to bring your bathing suit, beach towel, sunscreen, and toiletries. Very nicely decorated, clean, and plenty of parking available.

Our group loved having two living areas to utilize as well as the 2 minute walk to the beach. The house is equipped with kitchen gear, beach gear (including coolers), and games to play.
It is centrally located in my favorite area of the Outerbanks, close by to grocery stores and restaurants.
We greatly enjoyed the decor and charm of this house!

After reading the reviews I had to book this place—it was exactly what my family thought and got better the longer we stayed!
The 1 min walk to the beach was priceless — especially for a 3 and 6 yr old.
All beach items (wagon, chairs, kid toys/buckets/shovels, umbrellas..and more) were provided and saved us van space. Not only were there beach items but everything else you can think or needed there too (We loved the board game area)!
As for the interior space — it was more than enough and the customized decorations gave us that perfect beach vibe!We loved being there and wish we could’ve stayed longer…
Just book it… you won’t regret it!

The accommodations were as advertised. The location was a very short walk to the beach. The host was responsive to any questions we had. A benefit of this property is you don't have noisy neighbors in adjacent dwellings that can happen when you rent a condo.
Brittany’s place is absolutely incredible
Brittany’s place is absolutely incredible. Do NOT hesitate to book! The house is SO spacious - much moreso than even the pics capture. The decor was so lovely and put us in the beach vacay mood instantly! The location is incredible! Only about 150 steps to the sand. A perfectly easy walk for adults with a ton of beach gear and tired, sandy kiddos. As far as communication and responsiveness, Brittany is absolutely top notch! We had an issue with the dryer when we were there and Brittany had the unit replaced and installed in less than 24 hours! The beach itself was quiet and so beautiful. A stay at this house will not disappoint!

The house was cute- just as advertised
The house was cute- just as advertised. Very close to the beach and could walk to the pier and a few restaurants plus shopping was so close by for food. Loved the two separate living areas. Just a few things to be aware of- the master bed room was a good size with storage but the other two were definitely smaller with limited closet or dresser space. Would likely be best for kids or for 2 couples with each having a ‘separate wing’ of the house. Loved using the outdoor shower and sitting on the front porch playing cards and having a cocktail. The eating areas themselves are small but there are 3 places to eat inside so if everyone’s doesn’t want to eat together it works. You can all eat together outside too. It is busy on the main drag but not so much that it felt too noisy. Great place to spend for vacation!

Pillowcases for the extra pillows would be nice. Maybe more than one towel per person for the week- we did wash them every other day so it worked out .

This house was absolutely terrific for our family of four (2 parents, one teenage boy and one teenage girl). Having three bedrooms gave everybody their own space. And it couldn't have been any closer to the beach without being right on it. We literally had to walk across the street and we were at the beach access. The house is super cute and definitely puts you in the vacation mindset with its decor. And it wasn't just the bedrooms that gave you room to spread out. There's two living spaces each with their own TV's if the kids want to watch something different than the parents. Kitchen had everything we needed for making meals and appliances were very nice. Laundry facilities in the garage were adequate. And it was nice that they provided some basic beach essentials (chairs, an umbrella, a cooler, a beach wagon, etc) that we took advantage. Location was right in the middle of the action. Just a few minutes to the Wright Brothers memorial and a few more to Jockey Ridge State Park. The Food Lion grocery store was just a few blocks away. It was perfect for our family of four and would work great for a family of five, too. We'd definitely go back to this place again.

The Little Pearl is a colorful, cozy home full of vintage charm right across the street from the beach. The house is small compared to the multi-level newer homes, but it's surprisingly roomy inside with lots of extra living space for people to spread out both inside and out. Our favorite things were all of the board games, the TVs in every room (my kids can never agree on what to watch), the outdoor shower, all the beach supplies, and the front patio. It's also a great house for people with mobility issues because it's all one level. My mom fractured her tibia while we were there, and we were able to still have our beach vacation thanks to the easy accessibility of the house.

This beach house was awesome for a few couples or family. The location is perfect for getting to the beach and the one story building makes everything easy on everyone. The table outside is great to relax at and people watch as well as the large driveway to play in or sit around and chat. The outdoor shower is super cool for rinsing off after a day at the beach. The inside is super cute with lots of interesting decor. Made me happy to look at all the colors and unique items. This is not a "neutral" place!! It's fun. I highly recommend this spot. We had a great time.

This place is a such a gem - one of our favorite Airbnbs to-date! Amazing location, right across the street from the beach. And the home itself is so cute! Brittany's attention to detail is impeccable - we had everything we needed and felt right at home. The decor is so fun, the house is spacious, and we loved the house's layout and that it was single story, as it was perfect for our 2-year-old. One of the things I appreciated most was how clean it was, which is really important to me in a pandemic with a toddler. The outdoor shower, garage, and beach gear were a major plus as well. Brittany was an amazing host and allowed us to check in early since the house was ready, which was so helpful. Highly recommend this place and hope to stay here again!!
I’ve been coming to OBX for over 25 years and you really can’t beat the location of this house
I’ve been coming to OBX for over 25 years and you really can’t beat the location of this house! Directly across from the beach access and the house even has a great supply of beach chairs, toys, etc. The renovated kitchen was perfect and stocked with so many utensils, including a fridge with filtered water! We really enjoyed the front patio and table to spend drinking our morning coffee.
Unfortunately, the beds were very uncomfortable and back toilet was practically not usable due to plumbing issues. Beads hanging in the hallway were quite a pain having to pass through over and over, often getting stuck around us and in our hair.
Overall, our stay was pleasant, we just would’ve liked a more comfortable place to sleep for the amount of money spent. This rental was on the lower end of comparable home nightly rates, but it’s unfortunate to see how costly the Outer Banks has gotten.
The location is wonderful
The location is wonderful. It is a short distance from the beach, restaurants, markets, and department stores. There is a great trail walk behind the house and a state park close by. The house is perfect for large family gatherings with a great game room located in the loft. The kitchen had an excellent amount of upscale supplies to make cooking meals easy. Everything was very clean and the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. We especially loved the lamps with the USB ports in the bedrooms. We would love to come back and stay in the same place.

This house is well decorated and comfortable. The location is amazing, just a quick walk across the street to the beach. You’re close to everything and the area is quiet and feels calm even during peak months. It’s a great space to share with another couple or grandparents as there are two separate living spaces.
The only reason I didn’t give this house five stars is because we had an issue with water coming in under an exterior door during our stay. When we contacted the host, she was responsive, but said it happens when the weather/wind is just right. From a note in the guestbook from past stays, this was known at least two years ago. We had belongings get wet and had to spend time cleaning everything up, as the water had spread almost all the way across the room. It also caused us worry about it happening again, as we were there during a rainy week. Luckily it didn’t. The host sent over additional towels to replace what we had used to clean up and to help block the door in case it happened again, but it seems like an issue that merits addressing.

Colorful and super clean, we had everything we needed for our stay. The location couldn’t have been better, just a few steps to the beach access, we could not have asked for more!
The place was spacious, yet cozy. Even with the 6 of us, we had plenty of personal space.
The kitchen was great for cooking meals, the full sized washing machine and dryer were perfect for washing our beach towels and clothes.
Brittany was a perfect responsive host. Tried booking again for next year, but the dates have not been opened yet!

We had a great time staying here with our young family and grandparents. It was nice to have two living areas for everyone, and on one ground level. The house is close to beach access. The road is busy, but the front patio has a nice wall to help keep the kids corralled. The house came with some beach stuff meaning we could bring less - check with the host! That was helpful. Overall, everything the listing presents it as and more. Would stay again!

The house is beautifully decorated and extremely clean! Loved the location right across the street from the beach with easy access. Perfect layout with two living areas, we used one for adults and one for the kids, and that worked out great for our down time spent at the house. Outdoor shower and foot wash helped keep the house from getting too sandy. Enjoyed sitting on the front patio, which was in the shade in the evenings, perfect spot for a few cocktails. Would highly recommend this property!

This little pearl is such a gem! Right across the street from the beach which makes it so easy! We especially loved the thoughtful and adorable retro vibe throughout the house! It was so beautifully decorated and felt like home. Also the kitchen is beautiful, brand new and fully stocked with every utensil, pot, pan etc you would need. Really an outstanding place and we hope to return in the future!

This place is amazing!! Perfect location for beach time and around the town. Super cozy, clean, and full of charm. Brittany is super fast to respond to ANYTHING, and the space is just so relaxing! Definitely stay here!!!
This place is a real find
This place is a real find! Clean, well appointed, beautifully decorated, and walking distance to a gorgeous beach! We brought our paddle boards and had a secure garage to lock them in, a hose to wash them off and could easily walk them to the ocean. I paddled with a pod of dolphins! Also, in the garage are quality beach chairs, umbrella and a cart to tow them to the beach. The house is spotless, beautifully decorated with so much eye candy that we were often finding new and interesting touches. The beds were comfortable, between firm and soft. The showers had good pressure and we loved the outdoor shower with hot water. The kitchen was well appointed and had pretty much everything we needed, with nice place ware, glass drink-ware, and quality pots and pans. The fridge had an ice maker and filtered water (a real plus). The AC worked well and having two living rooms and two indoor dining tables and a huge outdoor table meant lots of space to spread out.
The only issue we ran into was spotty internet. I don't know if this is throughout the region or just this house, but we would be streaming a movie or video and it would often stop. It would eventually begin again after a few minutes, but sometimes not. We tried using our phones as a hotspot but the same thing happened. Honestly, everything else was so wonderful that we weren't too put out by it. A truly great place!
